Occupational Therapist (OT)

American Medical Staffing is partnering with an Inpatient Psychiatric hospital to provide an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an ongoing assignment. Ideally, the Occupational Therapist (OT) would work full-time, but we will consider part-time.
- Location: Fulton, MO
- Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital
- Hours: Full-time/Part-time
- Length: Ongoing
- Compensation: $40-$45.00 per hour
|The contractor shall provide Occupational Therapy (OT) Services in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein. |
The contractor shall assess mitigating chocking risks including but not limited to the following:
|Assess feeding skills to determine the needs of adaptive equipment (weighted utensils, cups, built up |
handles, plate guards, etc.);
b. Assess seating/positioning to determine if changes need to be made (sitting upright, feet flat on floor);
c. Observe mealtime environment for any needed changes (quieter environment to limit distractions);
d. Evaluate/treat any motor abilities that may affect feeding (coordination, crossing midline, postural
|e.||Other interventions as needed.|
|The OT shall assess fall risk mitigation and adaptive equipment including but not limited to the |
a. Assess balance/functional mobility to determine needs for mobility equipment;
b. Complete purchase requisitions for equipment as needed or notify FSH of equipment needed;
c. Provide client/caregiver education on appropriate use and safety with adaptive equipment;
d. Other interventions as needed.
|The OT shall provide additional OT assessments and interventions as requested.|
· OT license in Missouri
· OT previous LTC experience strongly preferred, psych experience preferred but not required
